Grand Opening Workshop of Pao Sustainable Engineering and Materials Laboratory and NSF IUCRC - Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems(CEHMS) is held at Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Faculty House, Garden Room, Columbia University.
This is the opening event of the new Pao Lab and CEHMS center. Mary C.Boyce, Alma Schapiro Professor of Engineering, Dean of Engineering gave an Engineering School welcome speech. George Deodatis, Santiago and Robertina Calatraya Family Professor, Chair of Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics(CEEM) gave a Department Welcome and Introduction to Pao Lab. Professor Huiming Yin, Director of Pao Lab and CEHMS at Columbia Site gave a talk about vision and research updates of Pal Lab and CEHMS. During the opening workshop, various professors from CEEM, other departments, and industry gave excellent speech about their research.
After the workshop, two parallel laboratory tours for Carleton Lab and Pao Lab are provided to participants. Professor Huiming Yin guided participants the tour to Pao Lab and visited all the facilities in Pao Lab.
